Bulk Product Materials for NCG Accounts
Print-ready bin cards, bin talkers and producer stories to bring small farmers, democracy and traceability to your bulk set.
Equal Exchange has worked over the decades to build a coffee, nuts, dried fruits, and fair foods program that supports small farmers, and is a traceable alternative to commodity organic. Equal Exchange and our international partners are committed fair trade organizations that empower small farmer groups in the market. Domestically, we work with family farms committed to conservation, solar, integrated farm management, and reducing their carbon footprint.
As commodity organic has increased its share of bulk sets, it is important to note that these items don’t lend themselves to traceability or the empowerment of small producers and their democratic organizations. We believe it is in the interest of co-ops to support and offer an alternative that supports democracy and co-operative supply-chains, is transparently sourced, and is committed to protecting both people and the planet. That is where Equal Exchange and our farmer partners provide food co-ops with a national bulk program that is fully traceable.

Café Orgánico Marcala S.A. (COMSA)
Organic Coffee
COMSA is a coffee producer society based in Marcala, La Paz, Honduras that proposes economic, social, and environmental objectives as a strategy to reduce poverty and to promote sustainable development. Founded in 2001 with 7000 lempiras ($300 US) of social capital, COMSA grew out of an initiative of the Rural Business Development Foundation (FUNDER). Sixty producers in Marcala (12 women, 48 men) came together as the founding members of COMSA with the goal of directly exporting their coffee production. In 2018, COMSA has grown to have more than 1200 farmer members.
Cooperativa Agraria Norandino Ltda (Norandino)
Organic Coffee
Cooperativa Norandino is an association of small-scale coffee producers in northern Peru. The 90 grassroots organizations are located on the western slopes of the Andes Mountains in Piura. The cooperative brings together three important coffee farmer groups with a long history in Peru. One such organization, CEPICAFE, was founded after years of grassroots work by Arnaldo Neira, Segundo Guerrero and many others. After seeing the success achieved by implementing ecological technical farming systems and marketing quality coffee, more and more producers began to organize. "We work permanently to promote sustainable and fair human development by broadening the capacities and ensuring respect for the rights of small-scale farmers and producers in the highlands of Piura," said Arnaldo Neira Camizán.
Fair Trade Alliance Kerala (FTAK)
Organic Cashews
Founded in 2006 to address the challenges with inconsistent prices in the marketplace, Fair Trade Alliance Kerala is a group of 4,500 farmers from a Unesco Heritage site in the Western Ghats region of Kerala, Inida. Social premiums and community development project initiatives include school facilities, drinking water programs, elephant-friendly fencing to avoid crop damage, and sustainable weed management.
Gebana
Organic Cashews
Gebana is a Fair Trade organization that purchases organic mangoes and cashews from 17 different rural co-ops and associations in the South of Burkina Faso. Women serve as the majority of the workforce and Fair Trade social premiums have benefited the entire community through adult literacy classes, new water sources, bicycle purchases, and cereal banks. The cashews and mangoes are also processed in a factory that the co-op owns, which employs hundreds of local workers.
ACOPAGRO Co-op
Organic Chocolate Chips
Almost 2,000 cacao farmers from the San Martin region of Peru win national quality competitions, participate in reforestation and carbon capture, programs, and provide themselves with access to medical services like dental and eye care. Through values of “Solidarity and Trust”, Acopagro is advancing their cacao production, quality, and farm income through a grant project with Equal Exchange and USAID.
Burroughs Family Farms
Organic Almonds
The Burroughs Family Orchard is all-in on regenerative organic. When 80% of the global production of almonds come from California, and less than 1% of those almonds are grown organically, it takes a special farming family to lead by example on how to preserve soil and water for generations to come. Equal Exchange helped Burroughs transition their Almond acreage to organic in the 2010s, and since then they have not stopped in their pursuit of being the model for sustainable farm management all while being the standard bearer of good labor practices in the San Joaquin Valley.
New Communities
Pecans
New Communities is a grassroots organization that has worked for over 40 years to empower African American families in Southwest Georgia and to advocate for social justice. Born out of the Civil Rights Movement, New Communities was founded in 1969 as a farm collective to provide a safe haven for black farmers and became one of the original models for community land trusts in the United States.
